Independent living skills
Build confidence, one everyday skill at a time.
Independence can mean learning a new routine, making a decision or doing something with a little less help. We work alongside people to practise practical skills and recognise progress that matters to them.

Your support, in practice
What we can
help with.
- Cooking, shopping and managing a household
- Budgeting and understanding everyday bills
- Planning a week and attending appointments
- Travel confidence and accessing local opportunities
Taking the time
to get it right.
We begin with the person’s own goals and strengths. Tasks can be broken into achievable steps and practised in real situations. Support is adjusted as confidence develops; the aim is to do things with the person rather than automatically taking over. We consider safety and accessibility without losing sight of choice and aspiration.
Helpful to know
About this
kind of support.
Can support be tailored to a particular skill?
Yes. Tell us what you would like to work towards so we can consider suitable goals and an individual plan.
Will support reduce as confidence grows?
The level of support is reviewed against assessed needs and agreed goals. Changes are discussed rather than assumed.
